When you think of Ping, what is the first thought that come to mind? I believe most of you will instantly think, ‘Custom Fit’. This is because they have a rich history, spanning over 50 years of producing the finest quality golf equipment that is built for every individual’s different needs.
Driver Fitting
Ping have launched the G425 Driver for 2021. There are 3 options; G425 MAX, G425 SFT and G425 LST. G425 MAX elevates the moment of inertia to PING’s highest level in history. Forgiveness comes mainly from a 26-gram tungsten movable weight, made possible by weight savings from advancements in the driver’s dragonfly crown technology. The CG-shifting weight can be set in neutral, draw or fade. A T9S+ forged face increases flexing for adding distance.
The draw-biased SFT model (Straight-Flight Technology) is engineered to bring shots back on-line and into the fairway. A fixed 23-gram tungsten weight shifts the CG closer to the heel to accentuate right-to-left shot bend (RH golfers) compared to the G425 Max. The proprietary T9S+ forged face increases flexing and helps add distance.
The LST model is designed with a pear-shaped, 445cc head to greatly reduce spin, a benefit for faster-swing-speed players. A proprietary T9S+ forged face accelerates face flexing for more distance. The head employs a 17-gram CG shifter with Draw, Neutral, Fade settings to fit your swing and desired ball flight
Fairway Woods & Hybrids
To complete the new metals in 2021, PING have launched G425 Fairway Wood and Hybrid options. In the G425 fairways and hybrids, two shared PING innovations known as Facewrap™ and Spinsistency™ combine to deliver more distance and spin predictability for carrying trouble and hitting greens. A tungsten sole weight increases the MOI in the stainless steel heads for added forgiveness. As with the Driver, there are 3 options in the Fairway Woods; G425 MAX, G425 SFT and G425 LST.
The G425 LST is a smaller head and the placement of a tungsten weight position the CG to reduce spin with a flatter, lower-launching trajectory. Two PING innovations, Spinsistency™ and Facewrap™, create more speed and consistent spin, especially low on the face, for added distance to carry trouble and hit more greens. Available in 3W. The G425 SFT Fairway Wood offers a larger head and heel-side CG increase forgiveness and promote a right-to-left shot bend for RH golfers for straighter results.
The G425 Hybrids feature PING innovations Facewrap™ and Spinsistency™ that combine to deliver greater distance and spin predictability so your approach shots reach greens and hold greens. A tungsten back weight on the extreme perimeter helps increase MOI for more stability and forgiveness. Available in 2H thru 7H.
Iron Fitting
PING have launched the G425 Irons for 2021. The metal-wood-style, variable-thickness face and internal geometry increase ball speed and flexing for launching shots higher and further with stopping power to hold greens. Expanded perimeter weighting in this smaller head design sets a new standard in forgiveness for an iron its size. Its blade length is shorter than the G410 iron but the head has a higher MOI, and the clean, compact design presents an eye-pleasing address view that inspires confidence.
The G710 is PING’s most forgiving iron. The product features a maraging steel face that combines with a stainless steel body to create metal-wood like flexing, faster ball speeds, added distance and higher shots with stopping power. Feel and sound are greatly enhanced, as well. G710 irons come standard with Arccos Caddie Smart Grips and a 90-day free trial of the Arccos Caddie app (then $99.99 annual subscription).
Ping have become notorious for their incredibly wide range of club designs and their popularity shows no signs of slowing down! Featuring 431 stainless steel for the very first time in a Ping iron, the i-Series delivers workability and shot control with the right amount of forgiveness. This is the perfect match for those who seek forgiveness within a ‘players’ looking iron.
The new i-Blade is designed to provide ultimate feel within a clean and compact club head. It is built for golfers in search of complete workability and shot control to execute any high demanding precision shot.
The question is, what type of Ping player are you? Parkstone Professional Shop has the iBlade, i210, i500, G410, G710, and G-Le2 for you to try and our PGA Professionals are here to ensure you find the perfect match for your swing.
Ping have considered every component specification within their Glide series wedges. Starting from the Dyla-grip (longer for gripping down for trajectory control) players can now refer to clear markers on the grip to increase their distance control performance.
Heads are available in standard sole (SS), thin sole (TS) and wide sole (WS), enabling you to be fit according to your attack angle and most-common turf conditions. SS fits moderate attack angles and divots; TS is suited for a shallow attack angle and shallow divots; and the WS is best for steep angles of attack and deep divots. When properly fit, you will feel the sensation of the club gliding through the sand or grass.
Putters
PING have launched a new range of putters for 2020. The Heppler putters offer a machined, solid face for golfers who prefer a firmer impact feel and sound. Multi-material (steel and pressure-cast aluminum) mallets and mid-mallets provide extreme forgiveness and optimal CG for accuracy and consistency. A premium, contrasting copper-and-black finish provides alignment cues and visual interest. A stiffer adjustable-length shaft (in exclusive black chrome) is standard and golfers can be fit for all stroke types (Straight, Slight Arc, Strong Arc).
